Nagaur fair is celebrated each year in the months of January – February. Popularly known as Cattle Fair, this eight day festival is celebrated in the Rajput town of Nagaur, 123 Kms from Jodhpur. This is the second largest Cattle Fair in Rajastthan. Every year over 70,000 lavishly decorated bullocks, cows, camels and horses are traded at the fair. The other attractions included the “Mirchi Bazaar” – the largest red-chilly market in India, wooden and iron items and leather accessories
Local folk, dances, tug-of war, camel races, jugglers, cock and bull fights provide evening entertainment to the visiting tourists.
