PhilipKutty’s farmhouse is a charming retreat in Kumarakom offering heavenly calm and solitude in the Kerala countryside. The waterfront villas offer homely ambiance and a beautiful view of the backwaters of Vembanad lake with silver lining of coconut trees all around the complex. The spacious villas furnished with antiques and elegant interiors offer all modern comforts and amenities for a pleasant holiday. Exquisitely crafted furniture in the form of doors and windows, beds, cupboards, chairs and writing tables compliment the villa interiors. Each villa has an en-suite bathroom and private sit-outs which open to the gardens and backwaters. The well manicured lawns on the lakeside are a perfect place to admire nature in all its glory where you can sit for hours in solitude. A beautiful thatched pavilion opens to a small courtyard under an old mango tree which is used to serve community meals in the mystic surroundings. Philipkutty’s farmhouse offer amples opportunities for nature walks along the paddy fields where you can admire the flora and fauna of the state as you get to spot exotic bird species around the retreat. The food served at the retreat is sumptuous and palatable even to North Indians with no coconut oil used in cooking.
